About GastroCare Hospital

A specialist digestive and liver hospital built around accurate diagnosis, honest explanation and treatment that is actually necessary — serving Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the districts of Marathwada.

Who we are

Why GastroCare Hospital exists

Digestive complaints are among the most common reasons people in Marathwada visit a doctor, yet specialist gastroenterology care has historically meant travelling to Pune, Mumbai or Hyderabad for anything beyond a basic endoscopy. GastroCare Hospital was established in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) to close that gap: to bring structured, evidence-based gastroenterology — including advanced endoscopy, ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound — into the city, so that patients can be diagnosed and treated close to home.

The hospital is led by Dr Rahul Talele, a Consultant Gastroenterologist who trained and practised for five years at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad, and who has performed more than 20,000 endoscopic procedures. The clinical philosophy is straightforward: establish the correct diagnosis, explain it in language the patient and family can understand, and choose the least invasive option that will actually solve the problem.

What we do

GastroCare Hospital provides four connected streams of care, all under one roof:

  • Outpatient gastroenterology consultation — assessment of digestive symptoms, interpretation of existing reports, and a clear treatment plan.
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy — upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, biopsy, polyp removal and control of gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • Advanced pancreaticobiliary procedures — ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) for bile duct stones, obstructive jaundice, strictures, pancreatic disease and cysts.
  • Liver clinic and non-invasive liver assessment — management of fatty liver, viral hepatitis, alcohol-related liver disease and cirrhosis, supported by FibroScan.

What we are not

Being clear about this matters as much as describing our services. GastroCare Hospital is a specialist gastroenterology and endoscopy facility. It is not a full multi-speciality hospital and does not provide cardiac surgery, trauma care, neurosurgery, obstetrics or intensive-care level treatment for unrelated conditions. Where a patient needs a service we do not provide, we say so and refer promptly to an appropriate centre or colleague. The hospital is also a separate entity from any future clinical records, telemedicine or patient-management system, which will be developed and hosted independently.

How we work with referring doctors

A large part of our work is referral care. Referring physicians receive a written summary of the findings and the recommended plan, and patients are sent back to their primary doctor for continuing care wherever that is appropriate. If you are a physician in the region and would like to discuss a case or arrange an urgent endoscopy, please call the hospital directly.

Serving the wider region

Patients travel to us from across Marathwada — including Jalna, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Parbhani, Latur and Dharashiv (Osmanabad). Because long journeys make repeated visits difficult, we try to plan consultation, investigations and the procedure together wherever this is clinically safe, so that as much as possible is completed in one or two visits.

Our principles

Four commitments we hold ourselves to

Diagnosis before treatment

No procedure and no long-term medicine without a working diagnosis that we can explain to you.

Least invasive option first

If a tablet, a diet change or a scope can solve it, we do not start with surgery.

Plain-language explanation

You and your family should leave knowing what is wrong, what was found and what happens next.

No invented claims

We do not publish awards, success percentages or patient reviews that have not been verified.

The artwork on our walls

The digestive journey, told in seven panels

These are the hospital’s own artworks, designed for our waiting areas and patient rooms. Each panel follows one stage of digestion — and pairs it with the traditional idea that a calm, well-tended body is the foundation of a good life.

The Sanskrit lines printed on these panels are quoted here exactly as they appear on the hospital’s artwork, together with the artwork’s own English rendering. They are classical statements about food, digestion and well-being — presented as design and cultural heritage, not as medical claims or promises of outcome.

Our philosophy

The ideas the hospital was built on

These are the hospital’s own artworks, created for our waiting areas and patient rooms. They express why we practise medicine the way we do — hope, and freedom from illness.

GastroCare Hospital artwork showing a golden lotus, a rising sun over calm water and the Sanskrit line Asha hi paramam balam, meaning hope is the greatest strength
आशा हि परमं बलम् “Hope is the greatest strength.”
GastroCare Hospital artwork showing a golden lotus above teal watercolour waves and the Sanskrit peace chant sarve bhavantu sukhinah
ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः “May all be free from illness. May none suffer.”
These artworks are traditional Sanskrit invocations of well-being. They are shown here as the hospital’s own design work and are not medical claims, promises of outcome or religious instruction.
